We will be communicating to ensure the area of pain is addressed. Sometimes we will be working in an area you may not think is necessary, but directly affects the pain. It's recommended to rest for at least 24 hours after a massage. This is so your body can acclimate to the changes made by the massage. This rest will help promote more efficient recovery times in between your workouts while you are in between visits. If you would like to workout, doing so before your appointment is preferred.
If your injury does not require medical attention (minor pull or sprain), then give the area 48 hours to start the healing process. If it's bruising come in as you're able. If it requires a medical facility, we will follow the Doctors advice working around the injury or with the injury. Most times a doctor will ask you to wait a short period before massage can be done on the actual area.
